AQUA CENTER WATERPARK - http://www.aquacenter-menorca.com/
A visit to Aqua Center waterpark is a fun-filled day for the whole family. Located north of Ciutadella, this 12500m2 park has swimming pools, jacuzzis, and water activities for all ages. From the giant water slides for the thrill-seeking tweens to the splash pool for toddlers, there is something to keep everyone happy! And if waterparks are not your thing, you can simply sit back, relax, and watch the fun from a sunbed in the shade.
For lunchtime dining options, visitors can bring a packed lunch and use the picnic area, or dine at the reasonably priced restaurant that serves a variety of tasty dishes and snacks. The park also offers bouncy castles and go-karting for the younger age group.
For those staying at Villa Rocamar, Aqua Center Waterpark is just a 5 minute walk away.
MENORCA ZOO (LLOC DE MENORCA) - https://www.llocdemenorca.com/
Visiting the zoo when on your Menorca villa holiday sounds a bit strange, but Lloc Menorca is a popular option for a morning or afternoon outing with the kids. This zoo/petting zoo is home to Menorcan farm animals and several species of wild animals that have been re-homed through European rescue projects. The kids will love feeding and getting up close with the baby goats or even having their photo taken with a 2m snake on their shoulders!
In addition to the animals, the zoo has a playground, a picnic area, and a water play area that is ideal for keeping the little ones entertained and cool on a hot summer’s day.
JEEP SAFARI - https://www.jeepsafarimenorca.es/en/home
This is a real adventure for the kids! Jeep Safari Menorca will take you off the beaten track in a 7 or 9 seater open-top 4x4 jeep to visit some of the island's most beautiful spots, including lighthouses, quarries, and unspoiled coves. The excursions last half a day and you can choose between a day excursion and a late afternoon/evening excursion where you experience a breath-taking Menorcan sunset. There is no minimum age limit for this activity, although the recommended age is 6 years and above.
BOAT TRIPS
The best way to explore Menorca´s spectacular coves, especially those that are a little difficult to access by land, is by boat. There are tons of boat excursions on offer, however, a recommended activity with the kids is to hire a small motorboat for a couple of hours. With no previous experience or boating licence needed, this is a fun and inexpensive way to take a leisurely cruise with the family, stopping in at those postcard coves for a swim and a snorkel.
To visit the popular south coast coves (Macarella, Mitjana, Turqueta) boat hire is available from Cala Galdana with https://monkeyboatmenorca.com/en/ and for the north coasts (Fornells and surrounding coves) https://ocimarmenorca.com/web/
KAYAKING AND PADDLEBOARDING
With no experience needed, kayaking and paddle boarding with the children are great fun, and those as young as 7 years can participate when accompanied by an adult. You will venture out to sea with your tour guide to explore the spectacular cliffs and caves on the Menorcan coastline, and if you are lucky, you may even spot some sea animals on the way! Tours last from 1 to 2 hours and are available at most tourist resort beaches. For those staying at our Menorca holiday villas in Cala en Porter resort, you are spoiled for choice with several companies offering tours directly from the beach.
